With two outstanding sales, the Elite Foal Tournament Auction made a strong impression at the Oldenburg State Championships powered by DERBY in Höven. Top-quality foals in both the dressage and showjumping lots impressed buyers and achieved top prices in each category.

Among the dressage foals, Venice, born April 6, 2026, by Verbier out of the elite mare Uthinga by Stedinger-De Niro-Figaro, bred by Helmut Kleen of Bad Zwischenahn and owned by the Kleen family of Bad Zwischenahn, was one of the most sought-after young prospects of the day. This beautifully conformationed and elegant daughter of the Oldenburg Champion Stallion and Grand Premium winner Verbier was sold for 20,500 euros to a sport stable in Lower Saxony.
Her dam, Uthinga, previously produced the 2022 Oldenburg Champion Mare Benice by Benefit, who also began her career as a foal at the Vechta Auction. Her grandmother, Unique, is a sister to the Grand Prix star Dandelion OLD. The Uthoba line has produced, among others, the Grand Prix-successful Gut Wettlkam’s Stand by me OLD, Sandro Boy, and Olympic star Jimmie Choo.
Crystal Ice jumps to €20,500
The showjumping foal Crystal Ice, born March 24, 2026, (Challasco Blue PS - Tounessa x Toulon x Contendro I x Grand Ferdinand II), was sold for an equally remarkable price. Bred by Hannes Otto Tapken and Rainer Tapken from Garrel, the colt sold for €20,500 eros to a highly decorated training stable in the neighborhood. The son of the Oldenburg State Champion and stallion performance test winner, Challasco Blue PS impressed with plenty of power and athletic potential...
