The Polish Horse Breeders Association has prepared many new initiatives for 2025. The first concerns the qualification of young riding and harness stallions for field testing. The qualifier will take place from March 19-20 at the National Studfarm Racot.

Following the event’s conclusion, an auction of stallions presented in Racot will debut. It will be conducted by the vice-president of PZHK, Mateusz Cichon, who has extensive experience in this field. This is a way to meet the expectations of Polish breeders, who face problems on a daily basis in the rather demanding horse sales market. The auction is also planned during the stallion performance test.

Polish Young Horse Championships

A small revolution is also on the horizon when it comes to the Polish Championships for Young Horses. Foreign-bred horses will be excluded from the competition and, from 2025, they will compete in the Polish Young Horse Cup. Both events will, of course, take place simultaneously. Separating them is expected to bring two benefits. Firstly, to raise the profile of the Polish Young Horse Championships as the main selection event. The most prestigious title of the Polish Young Horse Champion and the related awards will only be available to horses entered in the PZHK books. This will be another step motivating breeders to enroll their horses in our association.

Polish Cup of Young Horses

At the same time, launching an event called the Polish Cup of Young Horses and liberalizing the conditions of participation by removing restrictions on geldings with foreign passports or horses without the possibility to register in main studbooks will allow for the creation of a very promising sports event under the aegis of PZHK. We assume that these activities will result in a significant increase in attendance and interest in this event.
The Polish Championships for Young Horses in showjumping will be held from August 15-17, 2025 at the Stallion Depot Łack. Two weeks later, the Single-Horse Carriage Driving Championship will be held at the same venue. Then, from September 4-7, the Polish Championships for Young Horses in the Comprehensive Riding Horse Competition will be held in Stragona Strzegom. The Polish Young Horse Dressage Championships will be held fro September 26-28 at KJ Lider Radzionków.
