GERMANY (by Jean Llewellyn/press release) The Hannoveraner Verband delegates’ conference has elected a new board. Hans-Henning vd Decken is the new chairman, assisted by his deputy Hartmut Wilking. Theodor Leuchten and Jörn Wedermann, were also appointed to the executive board.

Breeders already know Hans-Henning vd Decken (56) as a member of the licensing commission, chairman of the Stade regional breeding district and member of the foal selection committee. “I will do all I can to worthily represent the Hanoverian horse and its breeders,” he said.

The retiring members of the board Konrad Böth, Wilhelm de Vries , Gerhard Senckenberg and Hans-Heinrich Brüning were honoured with the Golden Badge for their work and were appointed as honorary members of the Hannoveraner Verband. Manfred Schäfer was appointed honorary chairman, accompanied by applause and a standing ovation. “It has been my pleasure to be chairman of the Hannoveraner Verband,” he emphasized and also thanked his family...
