GERMANY (by Sonja Grob/press release) The Pferdezuchtverband Baden-Württemberg organized a loose running competition at their Marbach State Stud. In the dressage-horse category, it was won by Luis in Love, bred by Anna-Lisa Schepper. The same breeder as last year, Ludger Gripshoever, won the class for three-year-olds from showjumping ancestry with Balloon.

In total, including four ponies, there were only 26 horses presented this year. This reduction was likely due to the year’s lower birth rates from which the first three-year-old horses are now being shown. Among the interested audience were judges and horse dealers that did not want to miss the first appearance of the 2015 generation, and they all praised the high quality.

Best in the field of three-year-old dressage mares and geldings was the bay Luis in Love (Lord Leopold - Amy x Acordelli). By a sire of the Birkhof Stud, he is already quite well known as, last year, it was Luis in Love’s full sister, Lola who claimed victory. Luis in Love was bred by Anna-Lisa Schepper and his owned by Horst Schepper. Presented by Matthias Schepper he won with the days highest note of 9.03...
