Legendary Jmen tops BH anniversary GP of Paranaense

From August 1-4, Sociedada Hípica Paranaense, in Curitiba, Brazil, celebrated its 78th anniversary with a national showjumping competition, the highlight of which was a 1m55 Grand Prix over two rounds.

Most importantly, points from this Grand Prix are considered to serve towards selection for the Pan American Games. Additionally, this was the sixth stage of the Brazilian Senior Top Ranking (highest performance level).
Out of the 21 top national pairs, as per the rule, 12 qualified for the second and decisive round, with course design handled by Olympian Vitor Alves Teixeira. Lucio Osório and Schweinsteiger secured the one career title missing from their resumé with a double clear, in 40s00. This result puts the rider in second place in the National Ranking with 91.5 points.
Three other pairs also cleared both courses, two of them riding Brazilian Sport Horses. Ivo Roza Filho and the Brazilian Sport Horse Legendary JMen (Laeken J Men x Pit II Jmen) secured second place with a time of 43s46. They were followed by Guilherme Dutra Foroni and the Brazilian Sport Horse Cornet Prince JMen (Cornet Obolensky xAcorado), who completed the course in 43s81. With a faultless round to place fourth in this GP, Fernando José de Assis Costa and Ludona van de Dorpshoeve (an imported mare with an ABCCH registration), with a time of 44s05...
