It is normal practice and in accordance with our statutes that this report deals with the past year. Due to our 25th anniversary, our silver jubilee, I´ll take a short stroll down memory lane via a few photos that I accidentally came across a couple of days ago.

Many of you have been in the organization for many years and together we have had a lot of adventures and good experiences. The WBFSH has taken us to many different countries and to places I would never have dreamed about. Our organization has facilitated many friendships and interesting acquaintances.
A trip down memory lane...
It surely was a highlight when our patron, HRH Princess Benedikte received us in the Royal Castle in Copenhagen. (see photo gallery in following pages). That was in 2009.
In 2012 the annual meetings took place in Newmarket and I’ll never forget the very special atmosphere around the morning training of the racehorses.
Xavier Guibert played an important role in the development of the Unique Equine Life Number and he struggled for many years for an international data exchange system. At the time there was a limit to the political support of such a system, but last week I signed a Data Exchange Platform Agreement between the WBFSH, the FEI, and the German studbooks, so Xavier’s efforts certainly have not been in vain.
