The Holsteiner Winter Chance auction scheduled for December 12 will not be hosted online on the holstener.auction portal due to the worsening Covid situation.

The managing director and auction manager Roland Metz and his team took this decision by selecting around 35 high-quality young horses for their final Holstein auction in 2021. "The online auction offers our customers and exhibitors more planning security," said Metz. "The presentation of the auction candidates on December 12 from around 10 a.m. (CET) will take place as planned - namely in compliance with the 2G regulations - in the heated Fritz-Thiedemann-Halle in front of an audience."The auction portal will be activated for first bids on Friday, December 10, from 12 noon, with final bidding on Sunday, December 12 with the so-called bid-up.

As usual, the selection includes extremely interesting horses for every taste: the Livello Newton daughter Livella Blue (catalog number 8), for example, comes from a mother who was successful in jumping competitions and also produced several highly decorated offspring up to 1m45 level. The three-year-old comes from the direct dam line of the Olympic champion Dobel’s Cento x Capitol I (Otto Becker/GER). As a compact jumper, the 2019 stallion Coolio (Casall x Clarimo) catalog number 20, also has a sport-successful dam whose mare family includes the licensed Calico (Cassini I).

The entire collection can be viewed with pedigrees, photo, and video material at holsteiner.auction. Roland Metz (phone: +49 171 4364 651, email: rmetz@holsteiner-verband.de) will be happy to answer any questions about the auction and, of course, about the horses themselves.
