Highly popular DSP ‘Shooting Stars’ auction collection

A very hot summer evening in Viernheim deterred neither buyers nor spectators from attending the DSP foal auction. In fact, the Viernheim Riding Club recorded more spectators than ever during an evening that saw a mix of sport, a foal auction, followed by a rousing party.

Numerous sports stables, who are among the loyal customers of this popular auction, secured the best DSP youngsters in Viernheim, barely giving foreign buyers who were able to connect via a hybrid module a chance.
The top price was once again reserved for successful breeder Frank Timmreck who brought his silverware to Viernheim: Viva Special – a colt by Vingino x I’m Special de Muze, from the successful Teichrose bloodline, which also includes DSP Cashmoaker and the DSP licensing winner Emperor. Auctioneer Günther Friemel dropped the hammer at €13,000 for a delighted buyer who had tried several times to secure a shooting star in Viernheim, and in 2022 she finally succeeded.
Certainly, three other breeders were also happy about their five-figure sales: Heiner Sommer for Caesar, a colt by Conthalu x Stalypso (€11,000); Jürgen Laue for his filly with the sonorous name of Dollarzeichen (Dollar du Rouet x Cassito) also €11,000; and Richard Schindele who presented the most expensive dressage foal – a Rotspon son out of a Zalando dam whose name says it all: Real Good (€10,000).
