As we approach the end of the first three months of this year's auctions, Florida tops out the tables with the biggest sales.

The WEF Sport Horse Auction, featuring VDL stud, netted a total of €2,632,395 from just 15 sales, an average price of €175,493 per sale. Highest price of the day went to Arezzo Z gelding VDL Lightfeet who fetched €538,280 . Arezzo VDL sired a total of three sales with an average price of €298,000. These sales contributed heavily to Arezzo Z topping the current rankings as the most valuable sire of the completed auctions with sales of €919,510

The WEF auction is closely followed by The World Sport Horse sales at Ocala, Florida where just 14 sales had a total value of €2,435,000. Highest price in Ocala went to Masseltof, a Baltic VDL gelding whose price had reached €4382,430 when the hammer fell.
