In the latest edition of the Deutsches Spring- und Dressur-Derby Hamburg, from May 8th to 12th, the world’s best riders and horses gathered to compete around challenging international courses, including top Brazilian showjumper Yuri Mansur.

Yuri Mansur achieved a well-deserved and long-awaited victory in the Longines Grand Prix of Hamburg, which carried a prize purse of €250,000, riding the brilliant 1m70 Brazilian-bred 11-year-old mare, Miss Blue Mystic Rose/Miss Blue-Saint Blue Farm.
Mansur is among the candidates who will join the Brazilian showjumping team for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Coincidentally, the Brazilian jumped for the first time in Hamburg in 2015.
Out of 50 combinations in the field, 14 posted clear rounds to return for the jump-off. Mansur and BH Miss Blue – a daughter of Chacco-Blue and Magnolia Mystic Rose (Zirocco Blue VDL), bred by Haras Rosa Mystica and owned by Thalita Gorri Olsen de Almeida – finally secured the noteworthy victory in 42.96 seconds, surpassing the Swiss Olympic champion Steve Guerdat riding Lancelotta, also 11 years old, by 1.37 seconds.
Delighted with the win, Yuri exclaimed; “This victory means a lot to me; it’s the realization of a dream.”
Under the gaze of more than 24,000 spectators, as he exited the course, Mansur considered whether his mare, who was returning from injury, was already fit enough for this difficult course, but the answer became quite clear: “The way she jumped showed me that she is in great shape again.”..
