GERMANY (by Jean Llewellyn/press release) It was the 22nd time that young Hanoverian horses competed in the free jumping competitions of the Hanoverian Jumper Breeding Program in Verden, in which Coolberry PJ (Colman x Quidam de Revel) became the best three-year-old jumper.

The Viscount x Stakkato-daughter Valery headed the field of four-year-olds, in which the pedigrees featured many internationally well-known stallion names. “There are meanwhile many excellent showjumping lines in Hanover,” said Jörg Münzner, who judged the 50 three- and 23 four-year-olds in four divisions together with Thomas Schönig.

The three-year-old Coolberry PJ (bred and exhibited by Pferdezucht Dr. Jacobs GbR) scored 27, the highest mark of the day. Her dam, St.Pr.St. Queensberry, had herself earned a high placement at the free jumping competition and is now successfully competing at the advanced level. This performance was rewarded with a special prize, a free breed- ing voucher of Klosterhof Medingen for the young showjumping stallion Karajan. Coolberry PJ showed in the third division, but Dr. Ja- cobs had already celebrated a victor y in the second division, with Ladylike PJ (Numero Uno x Silvio scoring 26.4 points...
