It was a sensational year for the Hannoveraner Verband during the annual Bundeschampionat in Warendorf, with no fewer than nine Bundeschampions, five vice-champions and four third-place finishes.

The first Bundeschampion of the weekend was a Hannoveraner, when La Vie x De Kooning daughter Hann.Pr.A. London Eye (breeder: Kathrin Wassmann, Badbergen) beat off the competition in the class of four-year-old mares and geldings. She was brilliantly presented by Hermann Burger.

The final decision in the riding horse classes was that of the three-year-old stallions. As in the qualifier, the Majestic Taonga x Desperados son Majestic Day (breeder: Anna Genfors, Förslöw/SWE) and Hermann Burger placed third.
