A truly successful premiere – the first DSP foal auction at the end of September in Rohr, Lower Bavaria, was a celebration for breeders, buyers, and the entire region. Not only did the hearty welcome evening ensure a great atmosphere, but the supporting program was also top-notch.
The Lower Bavaria-Upper Palatinate Foal Auction Association (PZV Niederbayern-Oberpfalz) provided a varied display during the lunch break, and pony rides and hobby horsing also attracted the locals from the Hallertau market, who enthusiastically attended the event centered around a delightful collection of young horses.
The collection included 48 foals from excellent dressage and showjumping sires from highly successful mare lines. A bay filly with outstanding movement quality from a first-class line rose to the top of the price list: Fürstin Vitalia, the apt auction name for the young horse, is a daughter of Fürst Zonik PS, the licensing winner and now successful in the large arena, out of a mare by Vitalis who won young horse tests. Her dam has already produced five successful sport horses up to Grand Prix level. Breeder Karl Häring from Aulendorf in Baden-Württemberg was delighted with the hammer price of €26,000 with a DSP client from the Czech Republic becoming the new owner...
