Glock’s Johnson TN: KWPN Horse of the Year 2019

With 3,831 public votes, Glock's Johnson TN will be honoured as Horse of the Year 2019 during the KWPN stallion show in Den Bosch on Friday, January 31. For many years with Hans Peter Minderhoud, Johnson has seen great success, becoming champion of the stallion selection, winner of the stallion competition, runner-up in the Pavo Cup, team bronze medallist at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen, France, team gold and individual bronze at the European championships, and an Olympian in Rio 2016.

His value in breeding is also impressive; currently holding second place in the WBFSH sire ranking according to the results of his offspring, including Hexagon's Double Dutch who won his first international Grand Prix last year with Thamar Zweistra. Likewise, Meggle's Boston, who won several Grand Prix classes last November in Oldenburg and Munich with Matthias Bouten.

In second and third places, respectively, according to the votes: Blue Horse Zack (1,323) and Zaire-E (1,227). They were followed by Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve (667), Explosion W (622, and 2018 Horse of the Year Verdi (451).
