From March 9-13, 2022, thousands of horse enthusiasts from Denmark and abroad will gather in Herning at the Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing where breeding and sport go hand in hand.

Alongside the stallion licensing of dressage and jumping stallions, you will find the Danish Warmblood Young Horse Championships for the best five-year-old dressage and jumping horses, numerous competition classes for stallions, CSI3* classes welcoming many international showjumpers as well as a CDI3* and, last but not least, a CDI5* including some of the best dressage riders and horses in the world.
To top it all, one of the largest tack and trade fairs in Europe will be hosted at the same showgrounds and, for further entertainment, a unique Gala Show will be presented featuring international artists in addition to some of the best Danish Warmblood stallions and mares under rider.

Not to be missed...

Of course, the stallion licensing itself is always a crowd-puller. Not only are the best youngsters selected during Danish Warmblood’s pre-selection process, but the exclusive group of three-year-olds will be joined by around 20 colts from the German and Dutch licensings that are now co-owned by the Danish stallion keepers, Helgstrand Dressage and Blue Hors. Most of these are premium stallions from the respective licensings, while others are either champions or the most expensive lots sold at the German stallion auctions.
In Herning the stables are open to visitors so you can meet your favourite stallions up close in their stalls, while following the entire licensing and seeing numerous competition horses as well as young and up-coming stars.
