Emily Blunt Z wins German ‘Z’ foal championship 2024

A total of 19 foals were presented to our expert jury, consisting of Heinz Meyer and Antonius Schulze-Averdiek, who judged the foals on the well-known criteria of correctness, movement, type, overall impression, and dam line.

The foal that impressed our jury the most was the filly Emily Blunt Z, bred at Hof Brüning. Emily Blunt Z is a daughter of Emerald van’t Ruytershof and is out of the Cornet Obolensky mare Cameron Diaz. The latter has already shown her nobility in breeding, as with Come On Uwe (Contendro I), Acado 14 (Aga Khan Z), and Colliers Carlotta (Codex One Z) she has produced three offspring that are themselves competing at 1m45 level.
The silver medal went to the colt Eastcoast Ermitage GP Z, a breeding product of Gestüt Pohlsee. Eastcoast Ermitage GP Z is, as his name might already suggest, a son of Belgian champion Ermitage Kalone combined with the blood of Quirado.
