Diamant de Semilly (see photo by Adriana van Tilburg) is, so far, dominating the first round of the seven years olds at the French national age-group finals – at the Grande Semaine de Fontainebleau. The current number one on the Rolex WBFSH world breeding ranking has made his position very clear in the seven-year-old class as the 26-year-old has presented some impressive offspring. Haras de Semilly’s stable jockey, Olivier Martin, placed two of Diamant’s sons in the top eight, both bred by Richard Levsllois:  Andiamo Semilly (out of Tati du Palis x Muguet du Manoir) fourth; and Away Semilly (Wanda x Watzmann), eighth. Andiamo’s pure Selle Français qualities have already been recognized as he was 4yo French champion and won the Stallion Masters at the age of four and five. Away Semilly, meanwhile, introduces the great German blood of Wanda (Watzmann) who competed internationally with both Ludger Beerbaum and Rodrigo Pessoa.
