Harley VDL (2001: Heartbreaker - Larthago x Carthago) – sons receive highest scores.

THE NETHERLANDS (by Claartje van Andel) Following the Spring performance test, the KWPN could be very happy with 16 approved showjumpers, six dressage stallions and two Gelder stallions. For showjumping, 13 three-year-old stallions and three older sires were approved for breeding with a total score of 80 or higher. The overall quality was really striking in this group “I don’t think we have ever been able to approve such a strong group of jumper stallions...

... We saw very complete stallions, that were able to convince both in jumping qualities, conformation and in pedigree”, chair of the Stallion Selection Committee for jumpers Cor Loeffen enthusiastically said. “The stallions were also showing great rideablity and attitude during this test.”

Two Harley VDL sons

Two sons of the keur stal- lion Harley VDL received the highest score of 86.5 points. Jenssen VDL (out of Zirsinaa van de Leeuwerk Z x Zirocco Blue VDL, breeder R. Joosen from Sint-Lenaarts), received nines for his canter and re- flexes. Another very complete stallion is his half brother Justice HL (out of Noblesse Oblige elite prefprest x Epilot, breeder Corry Dolstra from Noordwolde), who was bought by De Wiemselbach. He stood out with his great rideability (9.5), a quality he was also able to show during his exam. He was also awarded a nine for attitude.

Athleticism resulting in a nine for techique, accompa- nied by a nine for rideability, brought the interesting grey Jacadello (Cascadello - B. La Palma x Lordanos), bred by Harm Thormählen Germany, owned by Egbert Schep and the Hendrix Stables, at a total of 86 points...
