The Holsteiner Elite Foal Auction took place on August 14 at Herbert-Blöcker-Platz in Elmshorn. The lot was characterized by top-class pedigrees and promising future prospects – as the top was a colt from a particularly successful Holsteiner dam line.
The top price was achieved by catalog number 3, Catalano HaS by Catoki x Uriko, dam line 776, who was sold on site for €31,000. Bred by Hof am Sylvert-Rörden, GbR, the foal is a half-brother to Nightwish (Nixon van’t Meulenhof), who caused a sensation as the top-priced foal at the Holsteiner Elite Riding Horse Auction and State Champion in 2024. His granddam, Shamrock (Canturo), is also among the reliable broodmares of this dam line. She produced, among others, the internationally successful showjumpers Crunch by (Clarimo /Rolf-Göran Bengtsson [SWE]), Dito (Diarado/Denis Lynch [IRL]), and the former top-priced stallion at elite auctions, Zucceros (Zuccero HV/Alonso Valdez Prado [PER]), stood out.

Catalog number 34, Ustino (United Way x Casello), changed hands for €20,000.
