FRANCE (SF/Press release) The general assembly of the Selle Français studbook was organized on May 16. It was an opportunity to make an assessment of 2017 actions, and to announce the newly elected representatives to the board of directors.

Pascal Cadiou, president of the Selle Français began this assembly by reporting the strong actions of his last mandate while delivering his moral report. He reiterated, in particular, the implementation of a part- nership with ASEP (the syndicate of private stallion owners), cemented by the creation of the Future Genetic Program which encourages the use of young genetics – an essential factor of progress by the fast rotation of the generations.
In his address Cadiou included the SOGEN project (which cross references the data of accelerometry during free jumping and the scoring notes) in collaboration with IFCE (the French Institute for Horses and Equitation) and INRA (the French National Institute for Agricultural Research).
For ‘events’, Cadiou underlined the creation of the inter schools championship for young breeders (reported in brief on page 6 in this issue), and the resumption of the autumn meeting with SLCO and Agence NASH. A new circuit and a championship ‘The Hopes of Eventing’, during the Mondial du Lion (WBCYH for young eventing horses), was born in 2017 and will be renewed in 2018...CLICK HERE TO SUBSCRIBE TO BREEDING NEWS
