From Holstein to the international world of showjumping – that could be the headline for the success story of Timm Peters and his horse breeding. The man, who lives with his family in Dithmarschen, has already bred many top horses

But currently, it is the Uriko son Bull Run’s Jireh who is carrying the Peters name from Bargenstedt around the world.
A few years ago, Timm Peters bought a filly from Elfriede Bornholdt in Moorrege that would have a lasting impact on his breeding program: Conella by Colman x Contender from dam line 890. He repeatedly bred the bay mare to Uriko. And that proved to be an excellent decision. In the very first year, a colt was born who is now among the best show jumpers in the world. The horse in question, Bull Run’s Jireh, who is ridden by American Kristen Vanderveen, is jumping from success to success. This year, the pair qualified for the World Cup Final and traveled to Basel, Switzerland, and has won competitions up to 1m60. He is currently ranked an excellent second in the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH) standings. The 11-year-old gelding is thus making a significant contribution to Holstein’s top position in the WBFSH.
It quickly became clear to Timm Peters that Conella was a special mare. Besides Jireh, her dam is, among others, her full brother, the former reserve champion of the Holsteiner licensing and stallion at the Marbach State Stud, Uno I. Furthermore, Conella gave Timm Peters, among others, the licensed stallion Quabri (Quibery), who has competed successfully at 1m50, as well as the two three-year-old licensed stallions Bambam de Rouet (Baloubet du Rouet) and Here I Am (Heartbreaker). Furthermore, daughters of Cornet Obolensy and Heartbreaker Conellas carry the genes of the Peters family’s breeding program into the next generations...
