The 6yo Swedish Warmblood Clawfinger (I’m Special de Muze - Currancy (SWB) - Click and Cash), bred by Emelie Andersson and Olivia Lindberg, owned by Great Gaits AB, and ridden by Anna Freskgåard claimed bronze at the WBFSH Eventing WBCYH in France.
“We are so happy and proud, a third place is absolutely incredible,” says Olivia Lindberg, who, together with her sister Emelie Andersson, bred the horse. “We talked about going to France to be there in person, but we couldn’t make it. However, we followed them from home with great excitement,” Olivia continues. “I thought they handled all the challenges beautifully; tears were streaming down my face when they galloped across the finish line in the cross-country.”
Clawfinger's dam, Currancy, was purchased from Elisabeth Hultberg, and only competed in 1m10 classes but has two siblings who have competed up to 1m50. Her oldest offspring, Handsome Hugo (Hasard), has competed up to 1m40. Currancy has had eight foals, seven bred by Olivia and Emelie. “All her offspring look very much like her, no matter which stallion we've chosen,” says Olivia. “She is a real super mom.
“Clawfinger is of a refined type, elegant and light, even though he is quite big with a score of nine for type in his young horse test. We got him under saddle and competed with him as a four-year-old, and he made it to the finals at Champion of the Youngsters.”.. To read the complete article you need to be a subscriber
