Brazilian Sport Horse breeding once again claimed the spotlight on the international stage with the victory of Stephan de Freitas Barcha and his BH-bred Chevaux Hex-Lup Império Egípcio (formerly Nutreal Hex-Lup). Sired by x-Rated GMS out of Cataloup Jmen by Clinton Jmen, the pair topped the podium in the two-star Grand Prix held in Peelbergen, the Netherlands. Having already won the qualifying round on the first day of the event, they once again demonstrated an impeccable perfor-mance, consolidating their top position in the Grand Priz finale.
It was a challenging class with 58 participants – in which only 14 qualified for the jump-off – where precision and speed were crucial to determine the winner. Brazil’s Stephan de Freitas Barcha, from Brazil, riding his 15-year-old Chevaux Hex-Lup Império Egípcio, faultnessly overcame all the course’s complexities, crossing the finishing line in 38.04 seconds to secure first place and a prize purse of €7,050.
Barcha is an experienced and renowned showjumping rider whose partnership with Chevaux Hex-Lup Império Egípcio has proven extremely fruitful, and standing out in various international competitions.
