From Paraná to France, the Brazilian Sport Horse (BH) continues to capture the spotlight on the international stage. In April, two BH mares demonstrated their exceptional quality and preparation by winning top-level events in Curitiba and Fontainebleau.
Deviana 3K shone during the opening event of Brazil’s showjumping season at CSI-W Curitiba, while Miss Blue stole the show at Fontainebleau five-star.
In France, at the renowned Le Printemps des Sports Équestres in Fontainebleau, Yuri Mansur and BH Miss Blue-Saint Blue Farm (Chacco-Blue x VDL Zirocco Blue), bred by Haras Rosa Mystica, made history by winning the five-star Grand Prix (1m60). The pair delivered flawless rounds and secured the title with a jump-off time in 41.52 seconds, beating 49 pairs from 17 countries. Eleven reached the jump-off, but it was Brazil that stood at the top of the podium – an emblematic victory for the BH breed and Brazilian equestrian sport.
Back in Brazil, Curitiba hosted the season’s first international showjumping competition – the CSI-W Cidade de Curitiba, held at Sociedade Hípica Paranaense. Stealing the spotlight was Ricardo Coelho Junior, riding BH Deviana 3K (Zirocco Blue VDL x Indoctro), born in 2014. On the first day, the pair won the main class with two clear rounds and a jump-off time of 44.18 seconds, outperforming tough competitors. Gabriel Soares Magalhães finished second riding Expecto du Vieux Château do Santo Antônio, also fault-free, in 44.39 seconds. Third place went to Raphael Machado Leite with HST Charlene Império Egípcio (Chester Z x Rey Z), who had a clear first round and four faults in the jump-off, finishing in a fast 38.88 seconds...
