From July 2-6, 2025, the Baden-Württemberg Horse Breeders' Association (Pferdezucht-verband Baden-Württemberg e.V.) and the Weilheim/Teck Riding and Driving Club (Reit- und Fahrverein Weilheim/Teck e.V.) will host the State Championships for the fifth time.

The event at the riding facility on Kornbergstrasse has become a permanent highlight in the calendar of the southern German equestrian scene, combining breeding, sport, and adventure at a high level. Baden-Württemberg’s best young horses compete in the dressage and showjumping arenas, battling for the coveted titles.
Last year’s State Championships underscored the event’s importance and appeal: Birkhof's Arezzo Man FBW, who became the Federal Champion of five-year-old showjumpers. Just a few weeks later, no less impressive in the dressage arena, was DSP Snickers F, who was crowned State Champion of four-year-old riding horses and trotted to a silver medal in Warendorf shortly afterwards. It will be interesting to see who will follow in the footsteps of these two top-class riders.
The Baden-Württemberg Horse Breeders’ Association’s State Championships will once again offer extremely attractive prize money of around €20,000 this year. The association also specifically recognizes the achievements of the breeders. With a breeder’s bonus of 30% of the prize money and free coverings by renowned stallions for the breeders of the state champions, the association is setting a clear example of breeding quality and commitment.
Showjumping and dressage fans alike will get value for money at the early-July tournament where the young talents will kick things off on Wednesday and Thursday, when the new state champions for four-, five-, and six-year-old showjumpers will be determined. In addition, the youngest members of the group can earn points in the PSA Tour, while the five- and six-year-olds also compete for qualification for the 2025 Federal Championships. ..
