In February there were two sport tests for four- and five-year-old stallions in Germany. The first took place in Münster-Handorf, with day one of the three-day test being used to familiarize stallions with the arena. Day two is for rider training in the morning under the watchful eye of the judges, ahead of an afternoon dressage test. Day three is devoted to being ridden under the saddles of test riders.
It was not all good news, however, as three stallions failed to pass the test: the Trakehner Sir Picasso (Distelzar -Sirkit x Pretty Dancer, bred by Charlotte Vogel); Oldenburger Sezarion (Sezuan - Estelle x Sandro Hit, bred by Günter Lüschen); and the Hanoverian Dresscode (De Niro - First Lady x Fidermark, bred by Karl-Heinz Bröcker)...
