The Stakkato prize was awarded to Stakkolensky in the packed Niedersachsenhalle – appropriately a son of the eponym of this prestigious trophy. All of these young stallions are among the most successful young stallions in Germany and have proven this impressively in their tests.

Despacito (Don Nobless x Sandro Hit) was bred by Josef and Karl-Heinz Rudde and is owned by the Ingo Pape, stallion station. Last year in Verden he was celebrated as the champion of three-year-old Hanoverian stallions, and returned from Warendorf as the Bundeschampion runner-up. At his 50-day test in Schlieckau, the black stallion was the best Hanoverian with the final score of 8.56.

Barely adrift was the one-year-older Dostojewski (De Niro x Latimer), bred and owned by Burkhard Wahler of Klosterhof Medingen, who finished very close to Despacito’s top result with a final score of 8.55.

Destacado (Desperados x Londonderry) is now six years old and has already achieved international merits in competition. He was bred by Heinrich Gießelmann, and is owned by Gestüt Schafhof. As a premium stallion the strong moving chestnut left the Verden stallion licensing in 2015, became Bundeschampion in Warendorf one year later, and continued his successful series impressively with the title of runner-up at the five-year-old World Breeding Championship for Young Horses in Ermelo with Matthias Alexander Rath in his saddle. Then, three months ago, the stallion received a very special award in the Niedersachsenhalle when he received the ‘FRH’ (Hannoveraner Förderverein) suffix after his sport name...
