One week before the big auction evening, it’s time to take the stage for the up-and-coming prospects of the DSP (German Sport Horse) riding horse and pony auction. On Saturday, October 24, 2026, the Baden-Württemberg Horse Breeding Association will present this year’s auction collection to the public for the first time in the large indoor arena at the Marbach Main and State Stud. The show-jumping horses will kick things off at 2:00 p.m., followed by the dressage horses at approximately 4:00 p.m. Those unable to attend in person can watch the presentation live on ClipMyHorse.TV.

This initial presentation offers prospective buyers the chance to gain a firsthand impression of these talented horses under saddle. The marketing team, led by Norbert Freistedt, has curated a diverse collection from across the entire DSP breeding region—ranging from seasoned, successful competition horses and promising young prospects to reliable partners for ambitious leisure riders. The selection also includes young riding pony stallions from the group featured in the pony licensing.

Dressage talents with championship success: In the dressage lineup, Van Philippo PS (catalog no. 24) stands out as a true athletic highlight. This son of Va’ Pensiero, out of a dam by Secret, won the 2026 DSP Championship in Darmstadt and secured a bronze medal at the State Championship in Weilheim. Also showing great promise is Joy (catalog no. 17), a five-year-old daughter of Jameson RS2 out of a Sir Donnerhall I dam, who has already enjoyed significant success in L-level dressage horse classes. Other standouts in this year’s collection include Pearl Deluxe (catalog no. 21) by So Perfect out of a Quaterback dam, Daria (catalog no. 7) by Donier/Vivaldi, and Banu Sana’a (catalog no. 5) by Bon Courage/Robespierre. The selection is further enriched by dressage horses with more advanced training and notable competition achievements.

Promising young showjumpers with scope: The show jumping contingent is equally compelling. Among the top athletic prospects is the six-year-old Django (catalog no. 32)—a son of Diaron out of a Billy King dam—who is already competing successfully at the M level. Carassina S (catalog no. 30) is a particularly gifted jumper; this four-year-old daughter of Chinchero (out of a Chigaru dam) won the DSP Free-Jumping Championship in Killingen with a perfect score of 10.0. Other offspring from proven show jumping sires are sure to excite any fan of the discipline.

Try them out, follow the action, and place your bids: If you would like to get to know a specific horse better following the presentation, you can arrange a trial session between October 22 and 31 (by appointment only). Please contact Norbert Freistedt at 0152 / 527 17 888. Photos, videos, and further information about the collection are available at auktion.pzvbw.de. The highlight takes place on Saturday, October 31: following the auction opening at 6:30 p.m., the DSP riding horse and pony auction begins at 7:00 p.m. Auctioneer Hendrik Schulze-Rückamp will conduct the sale of the selected horses and ponies. The auction will be held in a hybrid format, allowing interested parties to bid both in person and online.

Marbach Weekend featuring stallion licensings and a gala: A diverse program is scheduled around the auction on October 30 and 31. Friday’s agenda includes the DSP saddle horse and pony licensing, the Kids Cup final at 13:00 (CET) and the Gert Gussmann Cup final at 16:30. The gala evening, followed by a party, begins at 19:00.Saturday will feature further licensing evaluations, the announcement of the licensing results, and a practical seminar at 4:00 p.m. with Olympic champion Sönke Rothenberger.
