Holsteiner young stallions present quality, potential, top genetics

At the last minute, Tjade Carstensen took over the presentation of the United Way son, Union City

On May 1, the team from Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH invited breeders, customers, and interested parties to Herbert-Blöcker-Platz to experience the three- to six-year-old association stallions live.

Following the 2026 Holsteiner Young Stallion presentation, Managing Dimrector Felix Flinzer summarized by saying; “I am very satisfied and proud of my entire team. Both our young stallions and our riders did an outstanding job again today and presented a strong sporting image.”
The focus was on the four- to six-year-old stallions, who presented themselves in courses appropriate to their age and training. The now four-year-old sires, in particular, confirmed the positive impressions from their first competitions of the season. These included, among others, Cognac (Comme il faut x Monte Bellini; Nybor Pferde GmbH & Co. KG, Südlohn) and the 2024 champion stallion, Conchezz (Colestus x Caretino; Sören von Rönne, Neuendeich), were also competing. “Cognac makes it very easy for the rider. He has a superb attitude and always has his sights set on the top rail,” Arne van Heel described the feeling in the saddle
At short notice, Tjade Carstensen took over the presentation of Union City (United Way x Connor; Alf Bartholomäus, Klein Offenseth). The six-year-old stallion had recently impressed with three clear rounds in the Youngster Tour at Horses & Dreams in Hagen and also presented himself in Elmshorn with composure, scope, and remarkable calmness. “Although he is so tall, he has excellent reflexes, and his boundless potential is obvious,” said Carstensen...
