Future Dreams sale sees top price for Sénégal de Fontaine filly

Top price of €29,000 for filly Sénégal de Fontaine (Springbank II VH - Wendy de Fontaine x Sezuan)

A perfect start to the DSP Hybrid Foal Auction at Waldhauserhof when a daughter of Sénégal de Fontaine – the very first foal into the well-attended auction hall – saw Hendrik Schulze Rückamp bring his gavel down on the aptly named Sweet Sister at €29,000.

Her name is indeed true, but not only that; the filly comes from the renowned breeding farm of Jakob and Martina Reglauer from nearby Starnberg, and combines the finest genetics. Her sire, Sénégal de Fontaine, is a son of the former Danish champion stallion Springbank II VH out of Wendy de Fontaine, with whom Isabell Werth won the team gold and individual silver medals during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The success story of Novelle’s DSP dam line is also long: The dam of the auction foal, for example, St.Pr.St. Amore Argentina (by DSP elite stallion Quaterback), won the DSP Riding Horse Championship at the age of four, and her granddam produced several offspring successful up to Grand Prix level, including a licensed stallion... And the list goes on.
The highest-priced colt was also a representative of a DSP dam line, the world-renowned Neustädter P-family of Pauline. The son of Franklin, who sired a horse in the German Championship squad, Sönke Rothenberger’s Fendi, out of a mare by Fürst Romancier, already has a sister who has been successful at advanced (S) level. The granddam produced, among others, the internationally victorious DSP Pathétique. The black stallion, bred by the Elstertal Stud in Berga-Wünschendorf, Thuringia, was worth €13,000 to his new owners...
