Inmaculada Torrego Arranz takes over as head of ANCADES

The National Association of Spanish Sport Horse Breeders (ANCADES) has announced the appointment of Inmaculada Torrego Arranz (see photo) as the new director of the organization and head of the Studbook for the Spanish Sport Horse (CDE). A veterinarian by training with an extensive career in the sector, Inmaculada Torrego succeeds Luis Fernández-Aréizaga, who is retiring after years of dedication and commitment to the development and consolidation of the CDE as a benchmark in sport horse breeding.
Inmaculada Torrego Arranz holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Complutense University of Madrid and is a PhD candidate at the University of Murcia. Her professional career spans a wide range of areas: technical roles in the veterinary commercial sector, equine nutrition consulting, university teaching, animal production, technical management of farms, mobile veterinary practice, and technical management of the studbook for purebred breeds, particularly fighting cattle. She has collaborated with leading institutions such as Universidad Alfonso X el Sabio, Yeguada La Cartuja Hierro del Bocado, Asociación de Ganaderías de Lidia, UVE S.A., Horse1, and VetNova Salud S.L., combining clinical practice with technical management and training. Her profile is further enhanced by significant participation in national and international congresses, scientific publications, and lectures, addressing topics such as equine nutrition, animal welfare, and the environmental impact of livestock farming.
