Hosted by Haras Cooper, the 2024 PAEC South American Championship for Young Horses celebrated a milestone of excellence im the equestrian world, and a highlight of Brazilian National Breeding.

One of the most prestigious equestrian events of the year, it stood out for the technical quality of the competitions and the exemplary dedication of the organizers who raised the standards of the sport in Brazil.
From August 27 to September 1, 2024, Haras Cooper became the epicenter of one of this major event, held simultaneously with the International Jumping Competition for Young Horses (CSIYH), and the São Paulo Championship of Young Horses, covering horses aged four to eight years.
A total of 165 horses participated in the international events: 51 in the five-year-old category, 70 in the six-year-old, 29 in the seven-year-old, and 15 in the eight-year-old. In the São Paulo Championship, a total of 169 horses competed in the state ranking.
The various classes took place on the new sand arena at Haras Cooper, with tracks designed by renowned Belgian course designer Bernard Mathy, known for his work at the World Breeding Championship for Young Horses (WBCYH) in Lanaken, assisted by Erica Sportiello. The challenging courses tested the technical ability of the riders and horses, pushing them to improve their performances during the competition days.
In the age-group classes, the top 30 pairs qualified for the final, held in a jump-off format where all participants started with zero faults, following a reverse order of provisional classification. This format awarded zero points to the first-placed rider, two to the second, and so on, ensuring a fair and competitive event, showcasing the true potential of young horses...
