The Westfalian Studbook recently offered 31 foals for sale during an online auction when a daughter of First Deal advanced to the top price. The filly was worth €17,500 to her new owners from Denmark, while a son of St. Emilion sold for €17,000.

The foal season at the Westphalian Studbook is coming to an end and, in the penultimate online auction of the season, 31 representatives of the 2024 vintage were consigned for sale.
Head number 8, Flotte Deern (Fair Deal), bred by Sabine Mauderer, Lippetal, was the most sought-after offer. She finally found her new owners in Denmark at the hammer price of €17,500 after a long bidding duel between three nations: Germany, Finland, and Denmark. Her dam, Fajola (Fürst Jazz), is the half-sister to Django Unchained, who sold for €155,000 at the Westfalian Autumn Auction in 2019. The Celle state stud stallion Viscerado, who is successful in international 1m45 jumping classes with Marco Kutscher, also descends from this dam line. The dam of this foal will also be up for sale at the Westfalian Studbook’s youngster and broodmare auction in October.
Another filly also highly favoured by the international clientele was the first lot of the evening. The liver-chestnut mare named Bonjour II (bred and exhibited by Bernhard Illting-Reuke, Borken) is a full sister to Bonjour, who sold for €61,500 at a Westfalian online auction in 2022. The dam line is also well known. The granddam of this auction foal is none other than the St.Pr.St. Senorita Meyer, who produced three other licensed stallions in addition to the Bundeschampion Fynch Hatton.
