The annual SBS International Selection show took place at the Provincial Breeding and Horse Riding Center of Gesves on March 5/6, 2022 when candidates were required to convince the judges who paid particular attention to genetics, health, morphology, and athletic qualities.
Despite the closed-door conditions imposed by the Covid restrictions in force until March 7, the 2022 program allowed the organization’s professional and operational expertise, as well as the presentation of the horses, to unfold in the best possible conditions. Even with limited access to the event, breeders and owners were able to get together with great pleasure and conviviality.

On Sunday, when the judges’ decisions were announced, 33 stallions were newly approved for breeding by the SBS Studbook, including:
• 29 in the jumping option
• Three in the dressage option
• One pony in the Driving option...
equating to:
• 12 three-year-old stallions
• 17 four-year-olds
• Two five-year-olds
• One seven-year-old
• One 10-year-old
