Like every year, the ZVCH (Breeding Association for Swiss Sport Horses), hosted their championship in Avenches. A variety of showjuming and dressage classes for the young-horse age-groups saw quite a few five- and six-year-olds and older awarded with Swiss Horse Champion 2018 titles.

Dressage superpromotion ‘S’

Show Girl CH (Show Star - Drogheda x Davignon) knows what it means to be honoured in Avenches. With the high note of 73.23% from both rounds she claimed the title in great style ridden by Melanie Hofmann. Show Girl CH was bred by Robert Weber from Schwarzenburg and is owned by Christina Ernst from Bubikon. Christiane Schroeder, Deitingen and Silvan Flury are the owners of the second placed 10-year-old gelding Dream On S CH, bred by Christina Kressibucher, Landschlacht.

Dressage superpromotion ‘M’

Elena Fernandes from Bäretswil showed the eight-year-old mare GB La Ballerina (Londontime - GB Diamanta x De Niro) for a total over both classes of 75.11%, winning the Swiss Champion’s title for the chestnut mare, bred and owned by Hans and Sandra Grunder-Bauer. The runner-up was Rubyal vom Basi CH (Rubin Royal - Larissa x Lysander) with a total of 70.62%. This 11-year-old gelding was bred by Elisabeth Bräm-Meyer from Dietikon and was ridden by his owner, Silvia Schneider from Schüpfen...
