Following Sunday afternoon's Westfalian riding-horse auction, a catalogue of 28 dressage, jumping and riding foals was offered online, with the price peaks occurring for the jumpers. Lot #3, Con Potencial (Conthargos x Diarado), bred and exhibited by Carl Kramer, descends from a very interesting Westphalian dam line. Dam Verb.Pr.St. Diva Royal placed in the bronze ring at the German Mare Championships in Lienen. Numerous successful sport horses and licensed stallions also descend from this line, and the filly changed hands for €15,000.

Another filly with a jumping pedigree was very popular among buyers and sold for €13,500. The dark chestnut mare with the characteristic name Comme la Beauté (Comme il faut x Coleur Rubin), bred and exhibited by Michael Hölscher, will remain in Germany, and both fillies will grow up in renowned breeding facilities.

The most expensive colt also came from the jumping squad. The Cornet Obolensky x Cayetano L son, Conrad, bred and exhibited by Hermann Laumeier is from the bloodline of state stud stallions Azkaban and Paulaner, as well as the licensed stallion Polytraum. The virtual hammer fell for the dark bay colt at €10,000 to a customer from Panama.

Already in the run-up to this auction the important dam line of foal #4 had caused a sensation as the legendary Olympic competitors Ahlerich, Rembrandt and Ahlerich's full brother Amon descend from this line. Bred by Sabien Brittner, the beautiful black filly, Diamantenbörse, Desperados x Jazz enjoyed great popularity and sold to Austrian customers for €9,000.

A total of 22 foals were sold at an average price of €7,568, and eight of the youngsters will travel to foreign shores, including two to Sweden and two to Panama. Even though this online foal auction did not quite match the results of the first two foal auctions of the year, auction and marketing manager Thomas Münch is positive: "The result of this online auction is quite satisfactory. We are particularly pleased that so many new foreign customers have taken a liking to our Westphalian foals. We are looking forward to the upcoming online foal auctions, which will continue in a week's time with a collection especially for offspring of young stallions.“

The next online foal auction of 24 offspring of the Westfälisches Pferdestammbuch e.V. goes online from Wednesday, June 17 at 9:00 a.m. The collection can now be found at onlineauction.westfalenpferde.de. Bidding-up for the foals will start as usual Monday evening, June 22, at 7.30 p.m.
