Very successful presentation days were held at Old Gate Farm, Olds, Alberta from August 21 to 25, in preparation for the 31st Fall Classic Breeders’ Sale, held annually. It was a busy time for both breeders and volunteers.

During these five days, video footage and photographs were taken of 37 Warmbloods featuring prestigious bloodlines from both the jumper and dressage worlds. Bloodlines that included Carrera VDL (Cardento), Comme il faut NRW (Cornet Obolensky), Duplexx (Diarado), Florencio I (Florestan I), Indoctro (Capitol I), Irco Mena (Irco Marco), Jovian (Apache), Light My Fire (Light On OLD), Quick Star (Galoubet A), Totilas (Gribaldi), and Ut Majeur de Brecey (Diamant de Semilly) and more...
Warmly hosted by Katrina and Hans van den Bosch, the facility at Old Gate Farm was truly immaculate and provided a quintessential setting in which to demonstrate the quality of this year’s collection. The sale, which will take place online October 17-20, includes 11 weanlings, five yearlings, eight two year olds, 10 prospects, two broodmares in foal, and one performance horse.
Every care was taken by the volunteer team to manage the free-jumping chute for the young horses and to maintain a relaxed atmosphere. Sale administrator Kailey Parkin had the schedule organized to minimize stress to the horses and handlers so that the event overall had a positive social feeling...
