In December 2021, the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) published their FEI Jumping World Cup™ qualification for the South American League 2021/22, which validates the results obtained from April 20 to December 5, 2021. A total of 38 riders participated, of whom 31 were ranked during the season.
The highest scoring rider was Flavio Grillo Araújo, from Brasilia, who rode the Brazilian Sport Horse Lorentino Jmen (Landario Jmen x Calisco Jmen) in the CSI-Ws of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and, again, São Paulo. The highlights among his good results were twice placing second and once finishing in third place.
Second place went to Stephan de Freitas Barcha, from Rio de Janeiro, who qualified riding three different horses, two of whom were the Brazilian Sport Horses Primavera Montana (Calvaro Z x Paroli) and Veron JC (Cardento x Sioux de Baugy).
Primavera Montana won in the CSI-Ws in São Paulo and in Rio de Janeiro, while Veron JC’s best international result in qualifying competitions was placing sixth in the final event of the year, in Sociedade Hípica Paulista, in São Paulo, Brazil.

The two followed places, which may replace pairs in case of absence, are two more horses from Brazil’s national breeding: Daniel Cesar Khury with Euclides Método (Zodiaco Método x Sidney Método) and Carlos Eduardo Massenzi Filho with Diegus Ipiranga (Voltaire x Capitol).
The Longines-FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final will take place from April 6 to 10, 2022 in Leipzig, Germany.
