Warm atmosphere for final Hanoverian auction of 2019

The final Hanoverian auction for 2019 took place in a good atmosphere inside the Niedersachsenhalle, where precisely 100 horses (of which 74 were dressage oriented) went on the auction block in November, and the average price of €16,510 was considered to be noteworthy.

It was the last opportunity in the 70th year of the Verden auction to bid for a Hanoverian or Rhinelander, where the top-priced horse, the four-year-old gelding Quedez (Quantensprung x Sirtaki) sold to Baden-Württemberg for €55,000 – well above the average price paid for the top-quality youngsters.
Bred and exhibited by Marina-Mara Tranins, Quedez certainly demonstrated his ability to move, showing great cadence and, with a lot number of 89, he had the greatest desires on his side. Following a very brisk bidding duel, auctioneer Frederick de Backer lowered his hammer on the highest bid of the day.
Among the group of showjumpers, the best price was paid for Dahlien (Drosselklang II x Cheenook), bred and exhibited by Martina Zilinska from the Czech Republic. A customer from France paid €40,000 for this daughter of the 2001 Hanoverian stallion of the year. Born in 2012, Dahllien is a futurity jumping mare with a perfect work ethic, described as a horse for the coming show season.
During the pre-auction training period, expressed interest was already high far beyond the borders of Germany, and no fewer than 33 of the horses sold will be joining ‘foreign’ stables.
