The ANCADES Morphology Championship celebrated its 34th edition at the Moura Tours Valencia facilities in 2026, a venue that hosts international circuits during the autumn and winter seasons.

The competition brought together some of the most promising young Spanish Sport Horse prospects across four categories: two-year-old fillies, two-year-old colts, three-year-old fillies, and three-year-old colts.
The programme consisted of three tests: an initial gaits and conformation assessment, in which the horses were judged on their physique, type, and movement, followed by two free-jumping rounds.
The judging panel included the riders Juan Quipo de Llano and Daniel Martínez Ricart, alongside with veterinarian Jaime Chapa.

The legacy of successful sport mares

One of the highlights of this year's championship was the strong performance of offspring from mares with significant careers in the sport. Having made their mark in competition, Chakira Z, Dovela de Capellán, and Uvettasare now making their presence felt as broodmares.
From a breeding perspective, Casa’l Capellán enjoyed an outstanding championship, taking the top two places in the two-year-old mares and colts, as well as the top two places in the three-year-old mares. The four leading three-year-old colts were all sons of Uvettas, with the top three bred by Yeguada El Maset.
Dovela de Capellán dominated the two-year-old mares, although Casa’l Capellán produced the top two finishers in the two-year-old mares, with Quermes de Capellán taking the title ahead of Magdalena de Capellán.
The winner, Quermes de Capellán, is by Quel Homme de Hus out of Dovela de Capellán (Diamant de Semilly). Runner-up Magdalena de Capellán is also out of Dovela de Capellán, this time by “Mylord Carthago”...
