Traditionally, the World Breeding Championship for Young Horses in eventing takes place during the annual Mondial du Lion, in the beautiful park of l"isle-Briand in Le Lion d'Angers, France, which this year runs from October 18 to 21. In 2017 the event welcomed just over 100 young horses – a year in which the studbook classification was won by Irish Sport Horse, ahead of DSP (German sport horse) and Selle Français. The latter will, no doubt, be hoping to reclaim the victory they won on home turf in 2016.
