Thierry Touzaint announces French Olympic team

French national eventing trainer Thierry Touzaint has announced his Olympic team that will compete in Rio de Janeiro next month: Entebbe de Hus (2005/Hann/S Embassy I x Carbid) with Karim-Florent Laghouag; Bart L (2006/KWPN/g United x Gribaldi, bred by H. Litjens) ridden by Matheiu Lemoine; Piaf de B’Neville (2003/SF/g Cap de B’Neville x Reve d’Elle, bred by Jean-Baptiste Thiebot) in the hands of Nicolas Astier, and Qing du Briot (2004/SF/g Eolien II x Etalon Or, bred by Claude Bardon and Patrice Plan), with Lt.Col. Thibaut Vallette. Nicolas Touzaint and Crocket 30 (2005/Holst/g Cassini II x Esteban xx, bred by Paul-Hermann Thamling) are travelling reserves. The team will be gathering at Saint Martin de Bréhal for their final preparation before departing for Rio on July 30. According to Valette, “I am extremely proud to be representing France for the first time. The Olympic Games are the goal of every athlete and the opportunity has been afforded to me by a brilliant horse and I will also be proud to honour the French flag and to wear the uniform of the Cadre Noir.”
