The French national age-group finals for young horses hosted by the Société Hippique Française (SHF) will take place in from August to October 2019. As usual, showjumping fans to Fontainebleau (August 30 - September 8) will see the free cycle (amateur category) for horses in their first, second, or third year of competition, the classic cycle (professional), for four-, five-, and six-year-old horses, as well as the seven-year-old French championships and Selle Français fillies event. The following week, (September 11-15), the free cycle and classic cycle for eventing horses will move to Pompadour, while the same categories will apply to the dressage arena in Saumur (September 26-29). Driving (Compiègne, October 5/6) and endurance (Uzès, October 10-13) round off the 2019 season.

Fontainebleau has been hosting the Grande Semaine for 37 years, attracting the best young horses from all over France. This year, nearly 2,000 will be welcomed during nine days of competition, with breeders, owners and riders demonstrating the work they've accomplished, as well as selling their products or taking new ones home. The exhibitors village with over 80 stands also attracts many visitors.
