The nine-year-old grey OS stallion, Chactino (Chacco-Blue - Centos Contina x Cento), carried his rider to a surprise victory in the CSIO3* Morocco Royal Tour Grand Prix in Rabat yesterday. Jordanian Ibrahim Hani Bisharat scored the only double clear round over Uliano Vezzani’s tough course against some of the world’s top-ranked European riders. He summed up his performance by saying, “I’m so happy with Chactino’s performance. I’ve expected such a result from him for a long time now. He has always jumped well since I’ve had him. I couldn’t be happier. All my fellow riders helped, giving me advice for the second round.” Bisharat is, in fact, based in Belgium where he trains with his father and brother. “I train with a lot of the top riders like Jos Lansink, Bert Romp and others. I love to learn from them.” Bred by Paul Schockemöhle, Chactino is indisputably a five-star horse, which is Bisharat’s goal with his Chacco-Blue son. “My horses are capable, my owners trust me, and I hope to continue along the same lines.” The third and final leg of the Morocco Royal Tour begins on Thursday at the Salon du Cheval in El Jadida.
