In one of the toughest Grand Prix classes on the international circuit, with an extremely testing course set by Leopoldo Palacios, the CP International Grand Prix Presented by Rolex saw only one double clear round that came from 10-year-old grey stallion LB Convall to claim outright victory with no jump-off. The Holsteiner, ridden by Germany’s Philipp Weishaupt, is by Colman out of Cascavelle mare, Irette. He was bred by Ernst Carsten Rolfs and is owned by Swiss Hans Liebherr, whose daughter, Christina, rode LB Convall in 1m45 classes before he was handed to Weishaupt. In second place, the 13-year-old For Pleasure mare, Fit For Fun 13, out of Fetzi (Fabriano), bred by Sigrid Crome-Sperling and ridden by Portugal’s Luciana Diniz. Weishaupt will now travel to the CHI Geneva in December in search of a second win in the Rolex Grand Slam series. Photo: LB Convall ridden by Philipp Weishaupt (GER).
