The nine-year-old Selle Français stallion Urano de Cartigny (Diamant de Semilly - Esperance d’Elle x Double Espoir) has moved to a new yard and will now compete under the saddle of Penelope Leprevost. Formerly ridden by Bertrand Pignolet, Urano became five-year-old champion of France in 2013 after completing 14 faultless rounds out of 15 in the qualifying series. Two years later he finished fifth in the WBFSH showjumping World Championship for Young Horses in Lanaken. In 2016, at the beginning of his Grand Prix career, Urano was well placed in 1m45 and 1m50 classes at several major shows in France. His new partnership with Leprevost will see its first outing during the up-coming Sunshine Tour in Spain. Urano’s dam is a full sister to Flipper d’Elle – jumping at 1m60 with Laurent Goffinet. - studforlife.com
