More than 50 stallions were presented during the recent sBs stallion expertise in Gesves, Belgium (March 5/6) – some 25% more than last year. Noteworthy was the participation of five dressage-bred candidate stallions in the three- and four-year-old age groups. In the showjumping group, the majority were three-year-olds, but also included several between the ages of four and six, plus one 10-year-old prospective sire. The rigorous selection process considered maternal bloodlines, morphology, jumping and movement qualities (at liberty and under saddle). Curby du Seigneur (2008: Dorée van de Moskifarm - Victoria du Seigneur x Ogano Sitte) and Ugano Sitte (2004: Clinton - Ialta Sitte x Avontuur) were two sBs-bred stallions celebrated for having multiple sons approved in Gesves – three and two sons, respectively.
