Just one week after moving to a new stud farm in the south west of France for the 2016 breeding season, Haras de Brullemail’s stallion Quality Touch (Quick Star - Sevada x Landgraf I) has died in his sleep. The 24-year-old was an exceptional athlete with a blue-blooded pedigree, out of the mother of Olympian Classic Touch and by a sire who was himself a top-level competitor under the saddle of Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, Quick Star. Apart from a brief sojourn in Argentina in 2006, Quality Touch had been at the stud farm of Bernard Le Courtois in Normandy for the past 10 years. His own production has also had that ‘quality touch’, with CSI winners in Europe and beyond. Quality Touch will no longer watch the mares from his paddock…. Something he loved to do.
