The Belantis son who was crowned Oldenburg champion stallion, was the headliner once again during the subsequent auction of both licensed and non-licensed stallions when a Swedish stud farm paid €600,000 for the handsome grey. Going under the hammer for €320,000 – the second highest price – was a Don Schufro son with fascinating movements who was co-puchased by Lone Boegh Henriksen, Andreas Helgstrand and Paul Schockemöhle. A group of high-quality showjumpers were also in demand, with Johannes Heinrichs winning the bid for the OS champion stallion, by Toulon, at €160,000. The second most expensive jumper, at what some might have considered a bargain price, was a Cornet Obolensky x Diamant de Semilly son, bred by Micharl Schwarz, who sold for €95,000 to a German stable in Lower Saxony.
