On January 25, the first riding horses of the year will be presented for auction in the Nidersachsenhalle. Number one in the catalogue in the dressage category will be the black gelding, Freetown (Finest x Quaterback), bred by Günter Bleis in 2016, who impressed the selection committee with his type and outstanding basic gaits. The showjumping collection also features victors and many future hopefuls in sport, including Darunee (Diacontinus x Comte), has already won novice and elementary young-horse classes. During the 2019 season, this premium candidate, bred by Ingo König and exhibited by Dagmar Scharffetter, impressively won eight ribbons out of nine competitions.
The collection totals 53 dressage and 24 showjumping horses, with some candidates also recommended as leisure partners, hunters, or eventers.
The riding horses can be inspected during daily training at special presentations from January 14 to 24 in the Niedersachsenhalle, and thereafter tried by appointment. The first formal presentation will take place on January 22, with free jumping on Friday, Janbuary 24, ahead of Saturday's final presentation and auction.
